What Matters Most When You Turn 65

When I turned 65, I realized there is no time left to plan big long-term goals. For a while, I thought about starting a new career and building my own business. I had a few different interests I wanted to be involved in: fashion, food service, and writing my life story. Setting those aside was really tough—honestly, all three of them were hard to let go of.

Instead of trying to make my own business, my main focus every day right now is getting a part-time job to work for others. I am looking specifically for work in food service. What matters most to me is finding a place that is friendly, community-oriented, and free from discrimination against older people. I don't have a specific local spot in mind yet, but that is what I am looking for.
